Don’t Go Back to Sleep

For years, copying other people, I tried to know myself.
From within, I couldn’t decide what to do.
Unable to see, I heard my name being called.
Then I walked outside.

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the door sill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.”

~ Rumi

Wake up! Step through!

The more I explore and expose myself to experiences and peoples, the more I see how the healing of the world rests on us awakening…

I saw myself in a beautiful mirror this past weekend, an unexpected three-faces mirror: I saw myself as a wild child full of joy from just being alive, as a soul and wilderness guide and as a soul healer.

One of the many mirrors (real or imaginary) at the Ecovillage

Three weeks ago, I was sent into the woods to see what the Mystery had to tell me. The Mystery spoke in symbols, synchronicities and through ordinary processes and elements of Nature, as it always does. This time, I understood.

As I step across the threshold as Gretchen Sleicher from the Work that Reconnects invites us, I feel more free and open, the fear and numbness disappearing. The Mystery keeps sending angels to my journey, in the shape of amazing human beings/mirrors.

I went to the village to see the stars and a big rain storm showed instead…but the storm cleared the smoky skies and brought a wonderful new day.

As I tried to sleep in my flooded tent, I repeated myself Rumi’s poem: “Don’t go back to Sleep!”

Dedicated to my three mirrors, E., G. and K. May life brings you joy, wisdom and the strength to be what you are…always.

Don’t go back to sleep!

View from my tent, before the storm came…
