Before supermarkets and big food processing systems, people preserved the harvest using cold storage, drying, oil, salt, sugar, vinegar and fermentation.
Come and join us for these fun and practical workshops and learn how you too can preserve food and avoid waste.”
July 25: Intro to food Fermentation: equipment, methods and troubleshooting. Plus: take home two delicious jars you’ll be creating with your own hands!
August 22: Picking and more fermenting!
August 29: Introduction to canning and dehydrating: marmalades/jams and plain fruits
September 12: Canning sauces
